ROTARY CAR HAS DROPPED!
February 23, 2017 at 4:44 pm is the official time that the Rotary Car dropped and our fundraiser came to an end when the car sank below the icy waters of Smith's Bay.
Chris Wilken of Milford was this year's lucky winner. His son, Alex, picked the time. The ticket was purchased at the Hut in Arnolds Park.
Crews with Bob's Tow and Repair and the Arnolds Park - Okoboji Underwater Search and Rescue retrieved the car from the lake THursday, March 2nd.
The warm temperatures and high winds the last few days accelerated the sinking to a record breaking day in February. Last year was early on an afternoon of March 9th.
