We have a winner! (excerpts from KUOO Radio story):Crews late Thursday afternoon (March 24) retrieved the Iowa Great Lakes Rotary Club car that went through the ice Tuesday morning on Smith’s Bay of West Lake Okoboji, and we now know the winner of this year’s contest. Rotary Club member Erin Reed tells us who it is: “Yvonne Beck from Sioux City is the winning ticket with 9:31. The official time was 9:29 but we did not have that ticket sold so the next closest one was 9:31." Reed says they’re pleased with the response they received again for this year’s contest. “There’s a lot of attention given to it. Of course it’s on KTIV and it’s on Explore Okoboji web cam and it’s a great visibility for us and it brings in a lot of money and we can share it around the Iowa Great Lakes for some good causes.”
