The Iowa Great Lakes Rotary Club is looking for families to host foreign exchange students for the 2012-2013 school year.  Families are asked to commit to hosting for 4-6 months as Rotary exchange students often live with multiple families during their exchange year. Exchange students are 15-18 years of age and attend a local high school.  These students come from all over the world.

To be eligible, a family must:
1.      pass a background check
2.      go through a host family interview/host home inspection conducted by a Rotary volunteer
3.      be willing to open their homes and hearts to one of these amazing young people

All types of families make great host families.  We have had much success with families with younger children, families with high school age children, and families without children living in the home.   The best host families include individuals who are excited to learn about another culture and share their culture with someone else.

When a Rotary youth exchange student arrives, they not only have the support of a wonderful host family but they also have the support of the Iowa Great Lakes Rotary Club.
