District Governor Elect Ralph Smith.

The Rotary Foundation is celebrating it's 100th anniversary!  Serving a variety of terrific causes worldwide  in a very efficient manner, most dollars make it to the beneficiaries versus administrative costs. 
Ralph encouraged clubs to apply for grants from the foundation for local projects as the foundation will match those dollars! Ultimately your foundation donation goes back into your own community. 
Foundation donations are tax deductible. 

Born and raised in Charles City, Smith attended Carlton College in Northfield, Minnesota, in 1973.  and the University  of Iowa Law School in 1976 . A member of the Charles City Rotary Club since  1977 .  He  led the Rotary Group Study Exchange Team to Poland in 2010, and this experience motivated him to become more involved in Rotary.Married for 41 years with two adult children.
