Chuck Skogerboe Led May 6 Program at Rotary

Rotarian Chuck Skogerboe entertained the Iowa Great Lakes Rotary Club at the regular noon meeting on May 6 with Humor, Facts, Trivia and Sniglets.

 

Chuck began wit some jokes and followed with bits of trivia, including:

  • What are the 5 colors of the Olympic rings?  green, gold, black, red and blue
  • What was the 1st product with a barcode?  Wrigley gum
  • Name 2 perennial vegetables.  asparagus and rhubarb
  • What is the only veggie sold fresh - not processed in any way? lettuce
  • Did you know no piece of paper can be folded more than seven times?
  • The word "typewriter" can be typed with all letters on the top row of a keyboard

Chuck then shared some Iowa and Sports trivia with the group before sharing what a signlet is -- any word not in the dictionary but should be. He then shared a lengthy list of sniglets to the group.
