Iowa Great Lakes Rotary is pleased to have recently inducted  two new members,  Stacy Tegtmeier and Tyler Lynn. Chuck Skogerboe, Co-Membership Chair, did the honors of conducting the induction.  (Pictured l-r) 
 
Stacy Tegtmeier is a Spirit Lake native and attended Iowa Lakes Community College and received an A.A. and A.S. In Math.  He is an Engineering Technonogist at Beck Engineering, Inc. and his speciality area is as a Surveying Engineer.  He married Lara Gillespie in 2014 and she works at Okoboji Realty as a Closing Specialist.  His hobbies include lake activities, boating, golf, and travel.
 
Tyler Lynn is a Spirit Lake native and graduated from Spirit Lake High School.  He attended Iowa State University as an Engineering student.  He began working at Beck Engineering while in high school and is currently an Engineering Techologinist, specializing in Civil Engineering,at Beck Engineering, Inc. in Spirit Lake.  Tyler married Paige, a 2nd grade teacher in Sibley, last June and they live in Spirit Lake.  His hobbies and interests include helping on the family farm, hunting, fishing, and camping.

Paul Weeks
Congratulations to our newest member Paul Weeks who was inducted into IGL Rotary Club on January 17.  From George, Iowa, Paul received a degree in Fiancne and Banking from Buena Vista UniversityWith a longstanding career in the banking business, Paul and his family moved to Spirit Lake in 2007 and worked for Iowa Business Growth Corporation .  He recently became the Sr. Vice President at The State Bank in Spirit Lake.  He and his wife, Lisa have 4 children ages 15 - 25.  Paul pledged to uphold the Rotary 4-way test, get involved in Rotary's community projects , connect with members attend at least 50% of meetings, support international , share experiences with young people and use his skills to help others.  Please be sure to introduce yourself to Paul and welcome him to the Iowa Great Lakes Rotary Club.

Mary Skopec Inducted into IGLR
Our New Year has started off great with our first new member inducted on January 10th! 
 
From Cedar Rapids, Mary went to the University of Iowa, attaining a BS  in Physical Geography, a MS in Water Resources, and a PhD in Environmental Science.  
She did an independent study with the Iowa Department of Natural Reaources while in college. Following graduation, Mary was with the Department of Natural Resources for 18 years.  She became the Executive Director of Lakeside Labs last December and are so pleased to have her in our community and in our Rotary club.  
Mary has a daughter who is an E.R Nurse and lives in Iowa City with her husband and their 3 children, ages 14, 8, and 4.  
Mary likes to bicycle, play hockey, kayak, boat, and hike.  Congratulations to Mary!
